What are VST Plugins?
VSTs are audio plugins that can be used in a digital audio workstation to process sound and create new sounds. They can be used to apply special effects, add spatial awareness, and improve sound quality. In this article, we're only going to focus on VST synthesizers.
Many of these free synth VSTs work for Mac and PC, but some are PC only. I've tried to make a note of that where it applies.
